Peer Review Policy
The Journal of Clinical Medicine of Kazakhstan follows a double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts should not include the names, affiliations, or contact information of the author. Also, references to the author's own work should be blinded. All submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editor(s) and/or associate editor(s), based on their area of expertise. At this stage, the editors may send the article back to the author(s) for revisions or reject it without further review. Only manuscripts that meet the aims and scope of the journal are assigned to external reviewers. Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two external reviewers in the relevant field. If necessary, additional expert reviewers may be consulted to ensure a fair decision is reached.
The editors are working hard to reduce the time between a paper being submitted and being published in a regular monthly issue. We expect the review and publication process to take about 1-2 months, depending on the reviewers' feedback and the final decision of the editors. If revisions are needed, the publication time will obviously be longer. After the review is complete, accepted papers will be published with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) on the journal's website.
For more information about the peer review process, please see the "Peer Review Process" section on the journal website.
Competing Interests: If a reviewer becomes aware of a potential conflict of interest that might affect their review, they should immediately notify the editors. This includes any financial ties, personal relationships, intellectual trust, or other interests that could influence their judgment. To ensure objectivity and fairness in the review process, we ask that reviewers disclose any such conflicts.
Confidentiality: All submitted materials, including abstracts, ideas, and data, are considered confidential and should not be shared with anyone outside the review team. Authors and reviewers should take care not to disclose their identities during the review process in order to maintain confidentiality.
Timeliness: We encourage reviewers to submit their review reports on time to ensure a smooth publishing process for all. If you miss the review deadline, please notify the editor as soon as possible and request for an extension.
